COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this course, you will learn how the robot is structured, how to move the robot using different coordinate systems, create and modify programs with both motion and logic, and how to save the system using simple data backups. This is an basic course for robot operators, programmers and maintenance engineers with none or small experience of FANUC robots.

Upskill with FANUC Academy, and get the most from your robot and improve productivity.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

After completed course the participant should be able to:

  • manually move the robot using the Teach Pendant in a safe way.

  • create simple robot programs and run the (both manually and in auto).

  • modify existing programs.

  • show a deepened knowledge of the menus in the Teach Pendant.

  • show a basic knowledge about FANUC robots, controllers and Teach Pendant by utilizing their features.

TOPICS

  • Safety around the robot and handling the robot in a safe way.

  • General review of the robot and its components.

  • General description of how the robot works and its coordinate system.

  • Review of the Teach Pendant options, possibilities, menus and functions.

  • Basic knowledge of programming.

  • Position storage.

  • Modification of existing positions in a program.

  • Use of different moving functions (axis by axis, linear and circular).

  • How to define and use Tool Frame and User Frame.

  • Practical exercises to enhance understanding.

  • How to store backups and load existing backups.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

6/8 people maximum (3 min.) at the FANUC Center.

Courses are presented in local language when appropriate (Swedish, Danish, Finnish) – otherwise courses are held in English. Course material is available in English.

Our Training Instructors have field experience (integration of robotic cells, technical support, etc.) as well as experience in supervision and to hold presentations.

TRAINING ON- SITE

Do you find it difficult to travel to one of our Training Centres? In addition to our Online Training courses, we also offer training on-site if necessary. With training on-site, a certified FANUC instructor will visit your facility and teach you how to optimise your skills on your own equipment in a course customised for you and your specific needs.

For training on-site, a good description of what kind of course is requested, as well as how many people want to be trained and what previous experience the participants have. If the training is to be performed with a FANUC product in the facility, the product must be specified and assured that it can be used throughout the training.
